As mentioned in the previous entry, I decided I would start the WMM “slam” training by completing the 2017 Chicago Marathon (and how do I train for marathons? It is the “wing it” plan that many of us middle aged folks with jobs have to choose – for me that meaning getting my legs up to 50 miles a week and running 20 milers on most Sundays). I completed the Chicago Marathon in a healthy fashion in October 2017 in 3:13 (my tenth marathon and 4th in 2017). 

The Chicago Marathon established a base for fitness and time.  I took 10 days off and started running again in mid-October.  Light runs though the rest of the month.  Miami finally starting to cool down a bit.  About 60 miles of running over the last two weeks of the month.  Feeling good, not much to say.
